“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard it” (Heb.2:3).

The epistle of Paul to the Hebrews no doubt is one of the most interesting book in the New Testament. It is the foundation of the Christian faith. But why was it written ?

First, to deal with the issue of unbelief in the lives of these believers.
Second, to let the Hebrew believers know the supremacy of Jesus sacrifice over the levitical sacrifice.
Three, to expose the inefficiency of the animal blood sacrifice and the sufficiency of Jesus sacrifice. Fourth, to let them know that God has ended the Old and has established the New way of Salvation.
Fifth, the supremacy of Jesus as our High priest over the levitical high priests which were laden with infirmity.
And lastly, that if we/they refuse this New Way, there is no other way they could be saved.
